The earlier you save the more you will have just because of the "power of time" or the “time value of money” as it is often called in financial circles. I can't say that I started "stashing" money away at the age two, but at the age 32, I love stashing savings bonds, c.d.s, gift certificates and cash. There will always be a rainy day in your future. And it is not certain when that day will happen. When that day does come that you are low on funds, your "stash" can and will weather you through that rough storm.
Bob started a little funzie with Izzy when he comes home from work by letting her empty his pockets. 9 times out of 10, there is change....whether it be pennies, dimes, nickels or quarters. She is fascinated by the weight, the different colors and feel of money. After a couple of weeks of playing with daddy's change - I thought - we should start educating her on the value of saving. Or as I like to call it - STASHING!
Izzy gets excited and looks forward to filling her DUCKY piggy bank. It is a daily FUNZIE and hopefully saving will become a HABIT for her.
