Flip Fest 2022

 BEST.WEEK. EVER.

Giselle just returned from her second annual gymnastics camp - Flip Fest, surrounded by the beauty of Lake Frances in Crossville, Tennessee.

She spent the week training with elite level coaching and world-class staff and even trained with American former Olympian, Shawn Johnson.  Every year that she goes, she builds her passion for this sport and improves her confidence to take her to her next level goals.

Spring Break in Hawaii

Aloha!  It felt invigorating to get away for Spring Break and that we did!  We did a little island hopping filled with DEEP belly laughs, hiking, YUMMY food and lots of rainbows!  The girls had a great time on all the different beaches we visited.  We even survived "The Road to Hana."  Someday we hope to go back!

Pierogi Fest 2022

I love me some polish food, which is why I never miss a chance to head to Whiting, Indiana when they have their annual Pierogi festival.  For four years, I have been dedicated to going and trying to eat everything under the sun before we head back home.  This year, we had pizza pierogis - one with sausage, one with pepperoni, loaded baked potato pierogis topped with sour cream, chives and crispy bacon, a grilled polish sausage plate with sauerkraut and even a chicken gyro (not so polish). YUMMY!!

Giselle and Isabella don't care too much for the polish food, they go for slushies, cotton candy and the games.  Until next year Pierogi fest!

Do you know how to stick a SPOON to your nose?

Looks like I have not posted since March!!  I desperately need a new phone, so I promised myself I would upload photos from the year to the blog and then get a new one.

While waiting for dinner at a 5- star classy restaurant, I asked Isabella and Giselle if they knew how to stick a spoon to their nose.  I know what you are thinking.....Why would I ask them that at dinner?  Not an appropriate time or etiquette behavior, I know.  They were facing the wall of the restaurant in which no one saw them sticking that spoon to their nose.

Life is too short to always be so serious and not lighten up. AND NOW.....they know how to stick a spoon to their nose. (Wink, wink)

7th Grade Basketball

Basketball season is officially over for Isabella.  She had a great season of practicing 4 times per week and 2 games every week.  We enjoyed watching her play.  Now, she has started track practicing 5 times per week.  Between her schedule and Giselle's gymnastics schedule, they keep us "running" every day.

Isabella's Surprises

About 3-4 times per week, Isabella will randomly draw me a picture and hang it on the fridge, put it on my night stand or on my bathroom counter.  I love her little surprises and notes.  The other night as she was eating dinner, she pulled out her sketch book and drew the backyard as she was eating.  I think this one might have to be framed!  I have been saving all of her drawings over the years and hope to one day create a book for her with all of them.  Wouldn't that be neat?
